Infore Enviro Released the 2020 White Paper on Current Income of Sanitation Workers and Development Potential for Replacement of Manual Labor with Sanitation Equipment

Release date : 2021-05-21

Lately, Infore Enviro released the 2020 White Paper on Current Income of Sanitation Workers and Development Potential for Replacement of Manual Labor with Sanitation Equipment (hereinafter referred to as the White Paper), which is its second industry white paper to highlight its responsibility and commitment as a leader in the intelligent sanitation industry.

Upon in-depth study of tender documents for 374 sanitation service projects in 334 districts and counties of 156 cities in 31 provinces, the White Paper expounds the current status of China's sanitation industry from income difference, the cleaning area of the sanitation industry and manpower assessment estimates, etc. and guides the replacement of manual labor with sanitation equipment, in order to address low income, struggling survival and difficult employment in the industry.
The survey results in the White Paper show that, although government authorities are concerned about sanitation workers, their income in most areas remains generally low, with a large gap in the average income level.

Contrary to the low income of sanitation workers, the demand for industry services is increasing year by year. Currently, China needs 4.5 million sanitation workers to maintain sanitation services, which is expected to increase since the road area, cleaning and sanitation area, annual garbage removal volume, etc. are growing steadily at 3%-5% annually with China's accelerating urbanization.
On May 11, the much-anticipated seventh national census data was released. According to data, China's population totaled 1.41 billion, of which people aged 60 or above accounted for 18.70%, up 5.44 percentage points over 2010, meaning the aging of the population has further deepened.
The aging of the sanitation industry has also been increasingly prominent. Young people flinch due to heavy workload and low pay, which exacerbates employment difficulty. While the cleaning volume of sanitation services is on the increase, the labor gap is widening.
The White Paper proposes that to radically address problems such as low income, aging and large gap, it is inevitable to replace manual labor with equipment to enhance the mechanization of sanitation operations.
With the release of the national "carbon neutral" policy and the requirement for urban refined management, low-carbon new energy, small intelligence and cloud-based services will become the mainstream of future industrial development. Urban cleaning will penetrate into every corner from main roads, and the sanitation industry will see the transformation from manual labor to equipment. Promoting sanitation workers to shift from manual labor to skilled labor will effectively raise their income, improve the operation environment, and enhance the professional recognition of them in the whole society.

As China's city beautician in the new era, Infore Enviro has the responsibility and ability to lead the replacement of manual labor with equipment in the industry. Infore Enviro boasts the industry-leading small intelligent sanitation robot family with the most comprehensive spectrum, which is a key element to improve the working environment of sanitation workers, to protect the safety and enhance the effectiveness of sanitation operations, and even to transform the sanitation industry from labor-intensive to technically-skilled and from manual labor era to AI machine era.
In the future, with the mission of "Cleaner World, Better Future", Infore Enviro will develop newer, stronger and smarter sanitation equipment as well as more, better and richer sanitation service operation methods to build a new landscape of sanitation industry and lead a new era of intelligent sanitation!
